Minor Visual Design and Front end Website

For one of my subject of the minor Visual Design & Front-end Development I decided to make a WordPress theme and used our blog page as a case. We were allowed to experiment with new tools, so I decided to use the same stack that was being used during my internship at Brandfirm. That is a combination of WordPress with Timber and ACF plugin. In a way, I created my own theme and page builder.

Jamstack, Nuxt.js, SCSS, DatoCMS, Git

In my minor we had a master class about Jamstack, so I decided to try to stack out.  First I looked up what the benefits of this stack and how to implement it in my project.  To documentate our work we had to write blogs on the minor website. So I decided to remake the blog website in Jamstack with Nuxt.js and DatoCMS as the CMS.

Redesign OSIRIS Student Dashboard

For my first subject of my minor Visual Design & Front-end Development I chose to design something different. A dashboard was the first thing that came to my mind. OSIRIS is a student dashboard to view all our courses and marks. It was outdated so I decided to redesign it. First I did research on data visualization, after that I collect all the important data from the dashboard. With the given information I redesigned the dashboard and gave it a fresh look.

Imperium Website

HTML, CSS, JavaScript and jQuery

Imperium website was a school project focused on the designing and realise phase. First, we focused on getting all the information from the client. Secondly, we converged the given information into a debriefing, user stories and requirements. Thirdly, we used the stories and requirements to make a paper prototype. We used this prototype to test the concept and ask for improvements. After prototyping we made a sitemap and navigation model to study/set the structure of the website. After that we made clickable prototypes to test the interaction and user experience. We used heuristic evaluation and scenario based testing to achieve that. Style guide is the next step, in the style guide we specify guidelines for the website. After that is we had to realise the website using only HTML, CSS and JavaScript/jQuery. Bootstrap was not allowed so I had to style everthing myself. HTML, CSS, JS, jQuery was used in this project.
